Sensus Nav Traffic Messages

My sat nav used to pop up a message with "traffic on route, new route xx mins quicker, reroute?"

In the last month, there's no messages, just the TMC triangle, and the option to view what the traffic is. No option to reroute around.

Been through the menus and cannot find any option for reroute etc. Anyone any idea?

Mines exactly the same, I've resorted to a satnav app on my phone, it's better in every way other than the inconvenience of mounting my phone in a holder rather than being able to leave it in my pocket.

Funny you should mention that, but my last two long journeys which had several long delays on M5/M6 also failed to warn me with alternate routes, etc.

Strange - is this an isolated issue?

I still have the 'traffic / re-route' option -- or at least I did on 29th August travelling up the A1 from Notts to Scotch Corner. Having said that, the information was wrong as my Garmin (and the overhead gantries) did not confirm the problem on the A1.

Had the message on Tuesday night.

Perhaps you have to get close enough for the alternative route message to appear.

I must admit I usually ignore the message finding that rerouting usually adds miles and time and is usually cleared by the time I arrive at the location.

but does not give where the hold up is.

If you scroll down the options to the show route map you will be able to see where the holdup is.

Lets just admit it, the senus navigation software and the hardwear to a large extent are out of the ark and not up to the job anymore.

Glad it's simply not just me going mad!
In France in the summer, it told me to drive straight through the centre of Paris! Yeah like that's ever going to happen.
