Default engine replacement

Can an 850 diesel engine go into my 740 replace my d24t if i had the cars next to each other. and all parts availible?

No, it cannot be done. So, it's either stick with the 850, or find another engine +/- car, or get your own engine repaired. AFAIK there would not be people capable of doing this in Ireland, so it would have to be done in the U.K. I saw one for sale last year for sale that had rebore, head skimmed, valves etc and that work was receipted at £1750. Not many would go to this expense, unless as they say they ' have the disease'

the wife thinks it some kind of disease the amount off time spent on these cars. Guess it could be coming to the end of the road for the old girl (the car that is)
