Takes the shine off a new car but receiving dealerships SHOULD check for any damage before signing off the paperwork !!!
Could have been done at dealership if wheels have been removed who knows?
Have a word with the dealership and they will probably get the Smart repair people in, with a good job done only you will ever know, kerbed my old Merc last year in the bad weather, once done you couldn't tell where damage was, Chips Away local man brilliant job

Thanks for the responses folks..........

I visited the dealership today and they agree it was defintaly not attributed to kerbing on my part. It has yet to be agreed but I rekocn I'll get a full replacement.

I am not interested in a refurb job. They don't last the distance IMHO.

I checked the bodywork over when I picked up the car and took a cursory glance at the wheels but TBH, you would not expect any kerbing on a brand new rig.

The dealers have been exceptional since day one and I cannot fault their service to date.

Thanks again for some of the advice. My last car had zero kerbing and was 4 years old. If there's one thing I cannot stand it's a blemish on a brand spanking new car so you can understand my annoyance

I picked up my car three weeks ago and had the same thing, very similar scratches on the rear alloy. I went back three days after and they replaced it with a wheel from a "new" car.
They couldn't find the nut, so needed my help and there was my "old " car(3400mls).
A bit less thread but hey what a service.
I thought the scratches came from hooking the car tight on the trailer...

Good luck.

Hum.... Could it be that your wheel ended up on calsonic's car? Maybe they will swap the wheel until someone like me does not notice / does not complain?

That makes me chuckle...we moved into a new house (were the 2nd of 12 houses) & when we complained about the damaged doors, glass etc, the developer suddenly appeared with another item from another house on the site.

Apparently the folk that moved in last had a 'fawlty towers' house !
