Reece, you had said in the 1st PM there was "a good chance you old pick it up" lol! But in fairness you did email me first after I sent pics, so it's yours if you still want it. Have replied to you with details for meet.
Matt, got your email. MOT is 8th May 2014. Tax has been sent away for refund - the car would have been more than 220 with it still on, as the scrappie's higher price is without it. You are a very close 2nd if Reece happens to pull out.

The V14 form (tax refund application) is dated next Thursday, so even though the disc won't be in the car, therefore there is a valid tax disc for the car, and it is taxed until midnight Wednesday.
DVLA don't prosecute for failing to display a disc, with it being such a petty offence - they only prosecute for not having (paid for) a valid disc, and even then after a number of days. The thread doesn't mention there being tax on the car, so if you were expecting it, I'm sorry to disappoint. Like I said, even though it would have been a terrible waste of a decent car, I was expecting to have to scrap the car, so I would have been a fool to leave the tax on when the scrappie won't give me any more for leaving it on.

Tis true, I did say a good chance as I was waiting to find out who could take me.I do have that sorted now though as per email.Tax is no issue, as we will bring my mates transporter if you wanted to go ahead.
I don't want to tread on toes or upset anyone, but all I can say is that I did say a few weeks back on the original advert that I would be interested if you were to sell and was simply waiting on some pics back then. |

Cheers Reece, its just awkward working out who should have first dibs sometimes! :-) Email sent with details for meet.
Matt - as stated, there is still valid tax relating to the car, but it won't be displayed when I take the car onto the road for the last time on Wednesday to sell it, even though, and I repeat, I am only asking the DVLA to refund the duty from 9th January, therefore it is still taxed to the end of Wednesday. Yes, as I stated, failing to display is an offence (offence, not a crime), but not nearly as serious as having no valid tax, hence why DVLA do not prosecute. DVLA are only interested in prosecuting if they're losing out on duty (money), which they are not in this case. The car is taxed until midnight on Wednesday, so that me and the buyer can drive it legally that day. The car is advertised for a price that is less than scrap value; there was no mention or suggestion that there would be tax for the buyer beyond Wednesday, so if you assumed that there was, then I'm sorry that you are disappointed.
