I have a 1999 T6 the engine has been misfiring for about a week and I now have several messages including stop safely and restart engine / engine system service urgent and emission service reuired.
And now the car will only rev to about 1000rpm and I am stuck for ideas !!

Hi, Sounds like you are in limp home mode.
Go to your nearest dealer and get them to read off the error codes.

Could be your turbos, boost solenoids, loose hoses, bad fuel, faulty wastegates, spark plugs, air filter, MAF sensor..... The list goes on.

Later,
Dan.

All's well I have now got the car back and the dealer ( Rybrook volvo at Warrington)have replaced the accelarator module and relevant sotware and various other items all under warranty and it has not cost me a penny after 24 hours the car seems to be running ok.

The only problem was the 1.6 v40 courtesy car was very slow or am I being to picky!

Thanks for your comments etc

Hi.

I have a V40 1.8 GDi as a courtesy car at the moment whilst they get the rear suspension noise sorted on my C70.

I don't think you are being picky, but after being 'spoilt' by one of Volvos flagship models, some of the other cars (the non-turbocharged ones), just don't feel as, I don't know....... exciting, somehow.

The V40 I am driving now, has only 900 miles on the clock and is excellently put together. It is a lovely car to drive, but once you have had real power, you miss it.

Hope they fix mine as quickly (and as cheaply) as yours! I am fully warrantied up so it shouldn't be a problem.

Later,
Dan.
