The car is now sold.

I really enjoyed my Volvo ownership and I would certainly not rule out another in the future.

This forum has been a great asset and I will keep an eye on what is going on in the Volvo world.

I know it's a bit nerdy but I will evaluate the Q5 consumption vs the D3 and post the results on here after a number of months.

It is supposed to do 47.1mpg combined vs the 41.5mpg on the Volvo. Time will tell.

We are in the process of ordering an XC60 SE Lux and we are a bit confused by the description " leather faced seats " we have an XC90 SE Lux now and they are all leather seats is it the same in the new XC60...even the dealer seems unsure !!!

It's early days but here are the results so far comparing the Q5 with my three XC60 D3's (average fuel consumption from new). The Q5 has to improve significantly to fulfill the MPG promise.

However, 10% in fuel consumption works out at around £20 pm which is small beer when you take depreciation into account. Lower depreciation is where the Q5 really comes into its own.
