S40 V40 Cars: - Issue with the infotainment system on 2017 v40

The infotainment system appears to work. Scrolling is possible, but once you go into a menu, it will allow you to scroll up and down, but the select action is unavailable.

Tried a factory reset, no joy. It will literally allow selections in the first level of the menu, but when you go further in, nothing.

To me, the button clearly works, as I can get so far in, so far. Then, it's as if it no longer registers the press.

I've scoured the web, nothing. Tried the Volvo website, nothing. Been to the dealer, they look at me blank.

Is there a fix?

Hi,you are in the wrong post,here is the place for V40/S40 up to 2004.
Try the right post for advice on newer cars .
