No problem Jonathan. We can sort that out - no rush on my side of things.
Also to mention - i am taking the same flights as SCvolvo and the others however returning 24 hours later (15th not 14th) to make the trip a little less manic. We are booked into the Elite Park Avenue hotel in G burg - this is exactly opposite one of the main bus stops from the airport and on one of the main shopping streets in the town, making it very well located for travel to Volvo and for getting around in the evening etc. Got a good room rate via expedia.

My plan is to fly out 13th (Monday) and fly back 16th (Friday) from and to Heathrow with British Airways, and get a package with them staying at the Clarion Hotel Post which should be in a strategic location as it is opposite the central railway station which is essentially where the airport bus service terminates, and it gets good reviews on TripAdvisor. Booked the royal opera hotel x 2 I think Wayne and Charlie will most likely book there too.
Just under a mile from the elite and only 1 street away from the clarion (john d)

We seem to be in that area of the bus station.
I know a good pub iirc the kings head, cheap ish and good food, that's most likely where I'll head and it's very close to hotel although I would hope people wouldn't be too drunk for the next day.

I look forward to meeting you and the other guys n gals there. I am sure you will keep us updated nearer the time and will enjoy sharing a dram with you or whatever your tipple might be. Does this place have a good selection of Scotch?

I have no idea about the scotch, I think I only had a couple of beers last time.

I have found that the pubs I have visited in Sweden usually have a good selection of whisky. I am sure I will find a suitable one. If not I can be flexible! Perhaps someone with local knowledge will be able to point us in the right direction where we can all meet up and enjoy each others company.

From personal experience, wines and spirits are very expensive in pubs and restaurants generally in Sweden. Beer is not too bad - usually slightly more costly than in the UK. If you enjoy a tipple, my advice would be to emulate the Swedes - buy your liquor at one of the government run 'System Bolaget' stores, and either invest in a hip-flask or have a drink together first in one of your rooms before going out. Also be advised that you cannot buy wine or spirits in a supermarket, and only 'Class I' (up to 2% ABV) and 'Class II' (2 to 4%) beers. 'Class III' (4%+) beers are also only available from the System Bolaget. Have a good trip! Regards, John.
