Idle Control Valve Wanted
Hi all - I'm suspicious that the idle control valve on my B20F is on the way out, the engine is very lumpy, almost stalling, at idle when 'D' is selected, OK when in 'N' or 'P'. Before I lash out the £122 to £180 for a new genuine Bosch one (thats the web price from various suppliers), has anyone got a good second hand one I could buy? The Bosch number is 0280 140 516 and the Volvo part numbers can be 3450181 or 1389618. Thanks Peeps. Sarumboy.

In the meantime, you could clean your existing ICV with carb cleaner to see if it helps

Thanks for that. But this afternoon I found a website selling genuine Bosch ICVs and they were asking only £49 for the 440 model. Compared to the £122 - £180, it's a bargain and I've ordered one. The old bus deserves a new one after 16 years! Thanks again.
