Steering Grinding
On Thurs just driving past oxford with the shed on,and the heavens opened. The traffic on the A34 was down to 15 mph with the sheer volume of water.arrived at campsite parked up,Friday drove the car to Witney and on full lock left or right severe grinding.the steering is fine and the fluid is clean.my suspect could be the steering stop arms need greasing again.
your thoughts. Mike

When the plastic covers fall off the limiter it can make a metal/metal grind. Sometimes they've not fallen off just displaced upwards. Both sides at the one time though ?

I hear tin tents have replaced the more traditional rain dance in some parts.

update to the thread.
the grinding noise did not dissapear so i took it to a volvo indie in Witney. diagnosed as a broken spring. replaced the spring today great service and informed that a piece of the broken spring was hanging down and had rubbed a grove on the inner wall to total all up for two tyres and one spring the wife will have to work a extra shift. mike

I've been using khumo's (tyres) lately at £80 each, they seem ok and if I can stop the mrs ripping the sides out of them I might find out how long they last, I guess it's obvious why I don't use Michelin. Glad you're sorted Mike.
