Chrome rings or swapping for a DIM of the same year wont fix anything.

A replacemend DIM needs to be coded to the car before itll work, HLM can code DIMs.

Swapping a DIM wont activate anything, all features are activated according to the chassis code, activating additional features would be nigh impossible.

There is a member on here that repairs them his website is volvo diagnostic. Would it not be better to do that so then you can keep your milage Ect you just send it to him and then plug it back in once done as far as I know

Just be careful, you don't wanna go making anything worse.

and don't forget to disconnect the battery first.

and put the key in position 2 before reconnecting the battery.
