Default XC70 2012 service items

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to find the service items required for a 2012 XC70 D5?

I'm trying to work out what should have been done in past services, but this information isn't with the car.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks

Paul

A Volvo dealer.

Mine was able to pull up all the service work that was carried out by a Volvo garage on mine. Of course work carried out outside the volvo system will not be recorded.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply, but I've contacted the dealer and as the car was under a maintenance contract they can't tell me due to data protection. (I smell BS)

So, is there any way of getting what service items are due at which service intervals do you know? I'm also seriously considering doing the items myself.

Cheers

Paul

You could ask them for a service schedule.
This is a tick box that the fitter is supposed to tick off to confirm the work is done. From that you can work out what needs doing when.

Volvo services are basic, oil and filters, fuel filter every 36k on minew and cabin filter every second service. Then it's inspection only.

Gearbox oil is not a service item and not done unless you request it at extra cost, as is brake fluid, pads and disks.
These may of been done under a maintenance contract but I would check.

I have mine serviced every year at volvo for the downloads on the electronics which are part of the service. All other spanner ing I do myself.

Default XC 70 D5 fuel filter

Hi all

I know we all have different preferences but what do members recommend when choosing a make of fuel filter please
I see it is recommended to change them every 36000 but I would like to change mine as I cannot see by the service records that I have received that it has not been done for some time and is now due

thanks in advance
