Wanted - P1800S Drivers Door Lock Mechanism
Does anyone have a fully functioning drivers door lock mechanism for a '66 P1800S ? I have a new lock barrel, but the mechanism the barrels fit into is is worn making it a bit difficult to lock and unlock the door. If anyone has a spare mechanism that works well where I can just replace the barrels then I'd be interested. The condition of the handle itself is not important and can be as pitted or rusty as anything provided the lock mechanism works !

I've got a few. If I ship one from this side of the pond, it will have like 1% of the wear die to the cars being LHD vs RHD....Shipping wouldn't be bad either.
Does you '66 have the handle built into the chrome strip or is it free standing. I've seen both on cars listed as a '66 but I think the ones with the odd ball handles had been monkeyed with after they left the factory. Chris Last edited by agent_strangelove; Oct 11th, 2011 at 06:27. |

Thanks brilliant Agent Strangelove. Mine is the later freestanding handle model with the straight through trim (ie. non-hockeystick curved trim). Could you send me two of these lock mechanisms over to the UK ? I'll PM you for details.

See the attached photos. I can't send them via PM so they are here.
I have one still on the door. I also have one set of locks (left and right) that have already been pulled from the handle.... I'll send you a PM in just a second. Chris |
