The bootlid is held open by a pawl on the LH hinge.

Default Boot hinge

Hi,the hinges on my car are fine, and I can see where the pawl goes,at least I assume it fixes to the hinge bracket via the single hole in it.
It is just the pawl assembly I need.If you have one, that would be great.
Cheers,Andy.

The pawl is riveted between the two halves of the hinge. I don't think I can work up the enthusiasm to take a functional hinge apart to provide the part to complete another hinge......

It's available new

ajmarshall, If i where you I would leave the "star" off the lid, and make yourself a chrome stay with walking stick rubbers on both ends. The reason I say this is simple there is only ONE star on the boot, and if some hamfisted person pulls it down without lifting it up first then you have "big" trouble. " IT WILL TWIST OUT OF SHAPE, BELIEVE ME I'VE SEEN IT DONE".Plus the fact that it only opens about 3ft 6ins you have to get on your knees to put things in.
