Default New V70 owner, what are best service manuals / diagnostics

Hi I have just acquired a 2011 V70 D3. I have always done my own maintenance and repairs and in the past always bought BMWs because dealer manuals and diagnostics are widely available. But I needed a bigger boot. I am impressed with the comfort of the V70 but now need to turn to finding suitable resources to enable me to fix it should it go wrong.

What is the best source of repair manuals. I see there is a Haynes manual (which i generally don't use), is there anything any better?

Wiring diagrams/harness drawings (or as a minimum ECU connector pin outs) are a priority as this is an area that can so easily lead to problems. BMW have NEWTIS which has this online.

For BMW there is REALOEM online which given a VIN number will tell the manufacturers part number for parts, is there any equivalent for Volvo?

Finally for diagnostics, I noticed my simple Android based bluetooth OBD2 apps won't communicate with the car. I have access to an AUTOCOM CDS with Delphi DS150e 2017 software, is this likely to be able to diagnose vehicle issues?

Get yourself a copy of Vida with the dice hardware. Most are clones of the original dealer diagnostic system. Needs a windows environment on a laptop to run.
Have a word with ‘cheshired5’ on this forum if you do look to buy this system. (He has a sales thread in the P2 section)

The available VIDA/DiCE clones are suitable for a 2011 car and give a tremendous amount of information not only on diagnostics but on repair strategies and spare parts. Because they are clones, you cannot use on-line features such as parts pricing but for ageing cars like yours and mine, this diagnostic is the moist important piece of tooling that you will buy.
