Default Bluetooth options - phone calls?

Ok, I have 2006 V50 with AUX socket. What are my options on being able to connect my phone to make and receive calls?
I have a bluetooth transmitter which plugs into the AUX and I know I can stream music, and that works fine, so the audio comes through the speakers, but do I need some kinda mic to transmit voice for phone calls?

Normally yes.. I have a Pure Highway Dab unit which goes via aux in. I believe pure highway 500 has phone call capability and a mic within it's kit. Mine is a pure 300 or 400 I think.

I can hook up to the highway via Bluetooth and use that for everything. I don't but I can...

I think parrot, jabra and Pure all offer similar phone via aux in options.

Without knowing what specific model of transmitter you have, from what I have seen on the market most don't offer a true phone integration.

We have a Pure Highway 600 in our V50 plugged into the Aux-in. It gives us DAB+ radio, bluetooth audio and bluetooth calling.
