As my sig says I have a Euro IV D5 so I never see any smoke - I'd have to trust in the belief that adding 2-stroke would make a difference. I may do at some point but I'm reluctant to do so at the moment.

I think I might give that a go today. I've got a 300mile trip home tomorrow and know what my average fuel consumption is on this journey with a fairly heavy right foot. By the way, on Tesco diesel, my 165bhp 2004 D5 gives me something stupid like9.8-10.8km/ltr but on shell and tend to get 13.4 on average providing it has the volvo garage grade oil in. (I had previously had my local garage put semi synthetic oil in with equally horrible results and had to have it changed after 1000miles.
If you logically think of what two strokes does, or like me, you were punished with numerous 50-125cc motorbikes, you'll know exactly how effective 2-stroke is. Based on the theory that it provides enough lube to prevent a 50cc motorbike from seizing at 13700rpm, it has to have some pretty effective properties in that allow this to take place and be of combustible nature to certain degree. Will report back when figures become available (snow permitting..) |

well, done my trip home with the 2-stroke added and cannot really report much back?? I got a rubbish 11km/ltr (31mpg) at average 90-100, not sure if the car is much if any quieter (already a quiet engine as is) and not really any less smoke as there was none. I'll keep it up for the next few weeks or so but the extra few ££ per tank is not necessarily very welcome......
