Cold weather part two
Ok folks - a mildish two days coming up for friday and saturday this weekend (don't start getting the bbqs out or the sun tan as this will only mean top temps of about 5c or 6c during the day) - but, as from next week - cold spell part deux will be getting going - further freezing temps and snow is on the way and it looks like it'll be here till xmas and very possibly into the new year

sorry - I know - I think we're already fed up of the cold - but the weather continues to look like it's gonna continue with the cold for sometime yet - please don't shoot the messenger - just making sure all you Volvo drivers are still geared up for this harsh weather.

Flippin' typical, my first Christmas now I have emigrated and you lot get snow. Never had snow for Christmas in my life before.
I will be in shorts and most likely by the pool. Drive carefully all of you, at least you all have the best cars for the conditions ! V70Driver |

HOW COLD IS IT?
The central UK Temperature (CET) from the 1st-7th of December is -1.9, making this the coldest opening week of December since 1879; 1879 is the coldest opening week on CET record, so this week has been the second coldest opening week to December since CET records began in 1659. The two-week period, last week of November and first week of December is the coldest since CET records began in 1659. I guess when a lot of us started speculating about going back to the time of the Victorian era... we underestimated it.

This is a pretty big sign that global warming is a myth - brought about by governments to tax us to the hilt - the biggest influence on our weather is the sun - and solar activity right now is low - and these sorts of winters potentially could be with us for another two decades yet because of this. I agree with looking for alternative energy sources, but more for the realisation that fossil fuels won't last forever rather than global warning.
