  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default On call questions

I have recently placed an order for an XC60 and included on call as one of the extras.

I have just been going through the invoice and for the on call it states GSM tel + Volvo on call

I did not realise I would also be getting an in built phone alongside the On Call system, does this place any restrictions on the functionality connecting your own mobile phone to the system via bluetooth? Basically will I still be able to connect other mobile phones to the cars hands free system if the car has an inbuilt phone?

The manual also suggest that their is a separate privacy handset, does the handset for the phone take up any space?

Additionally, I have been completely unable to discover any subscription fee details for the on call service anywhere online! The dealer did not seem to have much of an idea either! Can someone please let me know what they pay and if there are different levels of service.

As far as i know the GSM in-car phone has been dropped from now , as bluetooth is standard .. however the on-Call still uses GSM phone but only for it's own use ..
Your dealer has just received information on volvo's new ON-Call tarrif supplied with new cars which is much more favourable than it was . pester him!
The US has different criteria to UK in most departments , you dont get most of that listed above in UK ...
