Default 2011 S60 D5 Air Intake / PCV Valve ?

Does anyone know what this part is (Part no. 31274139) ? It appears to be loose inside the air intake duct. Should there be a hose clamp or something on there ?

Regards,
Peter

No, there isn't a hose clip missing, it's like that from the factory, the part that the rubber breather hose clamps onto is just a push-fit inside the main intake trunk.

If it seems loose on your car, you could remove it, clean it up with some carb cleaner and refit with a few turns of plumber's PTFE tape around it to seal it, or use a little RTV silicone.

Hi!

1.There seems to be a wire pluged to this ventilation hose...What is the purpose of this wire?Is it a sensor?heater? What is it?

2.By the way : it's all full of oil leaks around this hose..And it's not the only hose full of oil...Almost every junction between air pressure hoses it's full of oil...And the car is ...well not new but, 2014 with 160.000km D5 ... What's happening? Why this oil?

Thank you!
