Default Engine stops

Hi all my c30 d5 r desing starts runs for a few seconds then stops. Has new fuel filter so should rule that one out . Any ideas on this one would be much appreciated cheers

have you fitted genuine filter ? check for air leaks . fuel pressure regulator also get codes read with vida dice

Thanks for replying will get new volvo filter and seal the seal in the box was different to the original seal so maybe leaking air

Think a trip to the garage needed. They will be able to read fuel pressure and do other tests etc. For the sake of a diagnostic charge or an hour's Labour they should be able to diagnose.

You could keep searching online and change this and that and still have the problem, bite the bullet and get it to the garage.

Just trying to save you money and time in the long run, if they diag you maybe able to fix it yourself cheaper.

There's a start is fuel pump working sounds like not. Check for power to it etc.

Maybe an in tank pump and may have the inspection hatch under the rear seat. Need to do some research.

Fuel pump works runs fast and then you can hear it work harder as the pressure builds up in the system it continues to run pushing fuel back to tank
