When I had my Toyota Soarer I bought a purpose spray paint for callipers. I ended up getting a copper colour which really worked. It was a black car though!

I always think same colour as car, may not stand out , but I think it looks tasteful , sadly my xc is boring silver .

I painted my calipers shocking pink, but the leaking brake fluid keeps bubbling the finish, any body know a fluid proof paint?

A better solution would be to fix the leak! Ye Gods, man! I hope you're joking.

The brake fluid is telling you shocking pink is just so wrong!

No. On second thought I'd say its not like Facebook at all.

I painted mine very yellow.
Looks pretty full on with the wheel off but nice in my opinion once tucked away.

My Saab, which is grey with black wheels, has purple calipers. They were rust and my daughter chose the purple. Behind the spoke of the alloys they don't stand out too much and I kind of like them. Even fancied getting decals with "Cadburys" but sadly couldn't source any.

The S40 appears to have had recent calipers so they will be staying stock.

On a bronzey gold car I would avoid yellow but then many would avoid purple so go with what you want and if folks don't like it then boo hoo for them.
