C30 wing mirrors

Hi. My wife recently returned home after a night out and the O/S mirror cover was missing on our 2009 C30 R-Design D5. I contacted our local dealer to get a replacement to be told the R-Design cover is £100 + VAT!!! I couldn't believe this piece of plastic cost so much.
I am unable to identify the difference between this and other Volvo mirrors other than the Matt chrome colour. The colour is not an issue as I can get the cover resprayed. Does anyone know which covers are the same, as I can't believe the mirror cover is unique to the C30 R-Design model?

yeh you have to be pretty sure its the right one, but you can get hem quite cheaply on ebay

Need to double check the heights though as I ordered a few and some covers seemed to be a bit taller which was frustrating.

Hi Dom. Thanks for your help. These listing always state you need to check the fitment and there is the issue. No-one seems to know whether the same mirror cover is fitted to other models. I thought I had located an after market cover, but the seller knew that the R-Design cover was slightly smaller....
I believe the existing cover was stolen, probably due to the price of replacement.

Any cover will fit from 2008MY onwards. The older pre facelift cover is a different size. Any cover from any facelift C30/S40/V50/C70 will fit. There was a guy selling them on eBay in the R-Design colour for a bit less than Volvo. This guy https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-S40-V....c100890.m2460

My C30 is pre facelift. The link goes to a 2010/12 listing. Surely this is a facelift model... This is where the confusion lies. I am unable to identify the difference as I am led to believe the R-Design has different mirror covers. But is it just the colour?

Sorry, I mean the 2007 facelift. The mirror covers linked in my last post will fit as they are all the same from 2008 onward. I removed the R-Design ones from my friends 2009 C30 and they went straight on to my 2012 fl V50. There are only 2 mirror types, 2004-2007 and then 2008-2013.
