Turbo High/Low Pressure - S60 D5 E4
Firstly - Hello! New member here
I've had a look around best I can in the time I have before deciding whether to take on a car offered to me by a family member. Apologies in advance if I missed a post already addressing this - please feel free to scald me - but at least please give me a link to answers already posted! cheers So the fault codes presented are 1507, 1517, 1540 - high/low turbo pressure, there were other codes which I've resolved with new plugs and cleaning injectors (which has cured a Cylinder 3 misfire), so it's idling more smoothly at about 1100rpm which seems a bit high but it just doesn't have any poke during a test drive. From what I HAVE found on this great forum - I should check/suspect: Wastegate Actuator Boost Pressure Sensor Splits in intercooler boost pipe Resonator seal split Sticking Turbo vanes EGR de-coke a)Have I missed any other possible causes of these errors? b)Anybody in Surrey (UK) willing to loan me a Vida/Dice code reader to help clear/recheck those codes? c)Theres a few beers in it if you do. many thanks |

Mine had exactly the same codes as yours and my issue was the turbo actuator wasn't moving. It's supposed to move on start up but it was solid. I removed the c clip that holds the actuator to the arm of turbo in case it was the vanes that were stuck of which they were nice and free. Put a remanufactured one on same g number as original and all is well. I tried another boost pressure sensor but it wasn't the problem. Tried all the other options you listed but wasn't them. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me mite be able to help.
