Over 100mpg...

Our new (to us) V40 managed 130 miles today without a single block of the tft fuel gauge clicking down. By my calculations, that's over 100mpg, which would have been exceptional had it not been on the back of a tow truck

Been running like a dream, then today up flashed a message saying battery charge failure, the red battery symbol above the gear shift indicator lit up like a Christmas tree and the advisory service urgent appeared too. One Volvo Assist call later and it's on the way back to the dealer for some TLC. Just to top it off, as they loaded it onto the truck I spotted a nail sticking out the passenger rear wheel...

Hope it's a quick fix - couldn't have happened on a worse weekend (family reasons) when we all need to be mobile. Somewhat dented Mrs McP's love for her new buggy. Here's hoping it's the only glitch for a while!
