Default Megasquirt vs ECU Max vs Microsquirt

I'm looking at getting an aftermarket ECU for my 940 (B230) and wondered what people are using.

The three options I've been pointed to are the Megasquirt, Microsquirt and the Max ECU.

There's a pretty big difference in pricing and wondered what experience you have had with them please.

Megasquirt and microsquirt are the same thing other than the micro is a bit more basic and slightly more geared to 4 cylinder. It is probably the better one to pick for first time around. Both are very well supported on these engines.

Here are my findings so far, I thought it might be useful to list them incase anyone else is looking into this too.

http://www.megasquirtuk.co.uk/

https://www.maxxecu.com/

https://www.haltech.com/haltech-open...e-in-uk-innit/

Pricey but look great, especially the self learn system.

I'm thinking it might be worth investing a more comprehensive system like the MaxxECU our Haltech to reduce the need of buying another one down the line.

Thanks for your suggestion.

That makes more sense now, thanks for clarifying that.

Which one did you go for and how easy was it to install?

Gone for a monsoon, haven't installed it yet currently sorting the pedal box stuff out. I'm going to be using a bias pedal box set up to give me more room on the exhaust side.

Interesting, I'll have to check them out.

I've not looked at bias pedal boxes. What's the benefit of having more room on the exhaust side?
