I think we are quiet secure with our Volvos. All functions relevant for driving (like the wiper speed) can be manipulated from the driving wheel. Everything that can only be handled by screen, can be done before you start driving or at a red traffic light etc. as they are not time sensitive.

The fault with the tesla is, that they put a function needed while driving into a deep menu.

I must also say that I can not understand the distinction between a "button" on the screen and a physical button. If you use it regularly you know the position and can use it blind. If you do not, you have to look to find it. The difference is, that the Button on the screen is at least 2 times as big as the normal physical one and you can place those you need often at a position easily accessible while the physical one stays where the manufacturer thinks it looks best.

No. I didn't realise that you could 'touch the wheel to wake up the driving modes' and then touch the one you want on the screen.

I'll be investigating this at the speed of light, or possibly, even sooner.

Thanks.
