Default Rear door not opening!

Hi
Having problems getting my drivers side rear door to open,started a few weeks ago,woul open one day then not open next day etc....now permanently locked,any advice people!?.....in work just now so will reply to any answers asap!

Mine is also temperamental, unfortunately a common fault on this model. Having gone to a breakers the other week to remove a door lock from a V40, I can safely say I think I would rather replace the entire door than the lock it was that buried. I've decided to put up with mine for now.

I seem to remember a post on here not so long back where if the central locking is out of sync it can cause problems with individual doors

Re the c/l being out of sync, yes, check that the button at the top of the rear door is actually rising, since if it's not then the door's still locked (obvious, but worth eyeballing just in case)
