Default S90 Mirror Folding Issue?

Car still has less than 1k on clock, so not lots of use.

Noticed a couple of times that when I lock the mirrors don’t fold. Unlock and re-lock and they do.

Then today, I unlocked car and mirrors unfolded, but the drivers side mirror was making a squeaking noise like it was sticking. It was fully open and when I pushed on it the noise stopped.

Does it just need a squirt of silicone spray on it or is there an actual issue? Anyone had the same?

I have the same on my XC60 MY19.
I lock the car, the mirrors fold with the right hand side mirror folding very slowly.
Sometimes when I open the car, the right hand side mirror does not unfold completely so I have to fold them and unfold them again to make sure the right hand side unfolds completely.

I'm just waiting that the issue becomes more frequent so that i can claim it in the warranty.

I have this regularly on my 2 year old V90 since new. Probably once in every 30 locks the mirrors will not fold in. Unlock/relock and they fold in. Just 1 in many little niggles with the electrics.

Also noticed a few times that mirrors open fine, but then when I arrive at my destination and put car in reverse, the 360 camera is missing the passenger side. I fold mirrors manually and the passenger side doesn't fold. Unfold manually and all back to normal again. Not sure if this is a software glitch or a physical glitch on the mirrors.

Could be both, but sounds more like a hardware (wiring?) problem.

It’s almost like it either doesn’t lock fully into place or cannot sense it has locked fully into place.

Once this pandemic has died down then I need to book into dealer for a couple of minor post delivery issues, so will add this to the list.

I had this - mirror(s) not folding and 360 camera missing the same or both sides. Reported at last service and it’s a known issue - they applied some form of software upgrade and I’ve not had it reoccur in 6 months since.

Also had the 360 camera issues and after my service in January it never happened again.
So the camera issue stopped but the folding issue continues.

Same here, I had the mirrors not unfolding and the 360 camera section missing but after it's last service and an update for this issue it's not happened again.

I wonder if your garage missed some update for the mirrors?
