Black pop rivets and washers are pretty widely available from most bodyshop supplies, or e-Bay, Amazon etc

Big issue will be getting the correct size and more importantly the length ... maybe someone with VIDA can confirm the sizes required, or a sociable dealer.

Hope it helps

It does say in the eBay listing that fixings are included so will see what arrives in the post.
Anybody that has fitted them yourself what size drill bit did you use to drill out the rivets?

The drill size you use should be large enough to remove the internal diameter of the rivet, but not so wide to remove the rivet shoulder/collar. Once drilled the shoulder/collar should be easily removed and the internal (crushed part of the rivet) can be pushed out once the wheel splashguard/liner is released. Honestly dont go "gung-ho" and try and remove it all in one pass, you will damage the support brackets behind the liner.
If you like toys, you can get rivet removal tools in various sizes in a kit to take the guess work out of removal, but the easiest method is steady as you go.

Check the official Volvo fitting instructions for more info.

Hope it helps

they look identical to the real thing and the XC60 version is only 28 GBP compared to 80 GBP for just the front from memory that's what I was quoted.

Fitted the mudflaps today and they look great I am surprised that these weren’t standard fit.

Simple to fit I didn’t bother to remove the front wheels just turned the wheels but took off the back wheels to enable me to get the drill in.
Drilling off the rivets with a 6mm drill bit was simple quite a few started spinning in the plastic but the rivets must be quite soft metal as the head came off easily even with the rivets spinning. I did think about trying to use some mole grips to stop them spinning but it didn’t seem necessary.

I then used a punch just to push the back of the rivet through the plastic and they dropped onto the floor.

The mudflaps came with some self tapping screws but I didn’t want to use these so ordered 20 rivets off eBay (just search for XC90 mudflap rivets) they cost £10
so it’s another 50% on top of the £20 spent on the mudflaps. I am sure you could find them cheaper, you actually only need 14 rivets, but for ease I just used eBay.
Used my Stanley pop riveter and they went in a treat very sturdy and hey presto job done.

Compared to previous cars where you can just unscrew the plastic trim screw, put the mudflap on and then re screw in again it is a bit of a faf but guess it’s the only way.

Just a quick note as I can’t seem to edit my post above on eBay it’s not “XC90 mudflap rivets” that you search for its “Volvo Mudflap Rivets” just incase anybody was going to follow my post above...:-)

Are you happy enough with what you got for the money that you paid?

I certainly was and thought the quality very good.

Yes spot on mate thanks for the link like you said they are very good copies and even have Volvo marked on the inside!

For £20 it’s a no brainer rather than around £100 I believe from Volvo.
