Who said anything about cutting the harness?

I was thinking of a dummy sensor you could plug in to the plug once warmed up, it would also serve as a diagnostic tool as well.

Coolant sensor arrives today. 👍🏻
19 or 21mm wrench I guess and then plug and play.
Noid light is there no sign of yet. I have asked the eBay seller for tracking. But no answer.

Hope this coolant sensor fixes this idling problem? Plugs are black, misfires and sputter, baffling. Hope it’s the sensor overfueling. Just gotta wait and see!

If memory serves it's a 22mm but might be 19mm. Before you start fitting the new sensor, remove fuse #1 from the fusebox and refit after you've fitted the sensor. Don't try starting it with the fuse out.

I have now received this CTS and I mounted it. It’s no difference in the idle. Same misfiring, backfiring and baffling.

I unplugged fuse #1 the whole time.

Gotta wait for this noid light now

Just to confirm the above, will it rev above 3000rpm now or not?

That's what i was afraid of. We're going to have to wait on the NOID light now. Do you know where the fuel ECU is on your car? On UK models with right hand drive, it's low down in the drivers footwell, behind the kick panel, i've no idea if you have right hand drive or left hand drive and if it's swapped mirror image for LHD but it might pay to have a look and see if you can find it. If you can, see if you can get the Bosch part number off it,

I'm expecting it to be an 0 280 000 946 but i might be wrong. Also do you know of or can you investigate ECU repair companies that you can use in your area or nearby for shipping to/from?

I have actually tried swapping both EZK & ECU. Still the same idling problem and 3k rpm.

I changed those ECUs with same Bosch number as my previous ECUs.

This car makes zero sense tbh

1. Car idles smooth when lights and heater is enabled. Idle smooths out for some seconds before it goes to nirvana. If I disable lights, high beam, extra lights etc. all electrical components. It runs like a sack of potatoes. Not always it works like that. Sometimes it doesent respond and runs rough. zero sense this car makes.

I’m determined to find out what this car is all about

If you've already swapped ECUs, can you confirm the Bosch number i think it should be is correct?
