Default Upgrading brake system

Thoughts opinions and direction gratefully accepted !
Basic new disks and pads all round only 1.6 so not worth wasting money on higher than oe spec parts or is it ?
One thing I do fancy upgrading is brake hoses to braided black circle £65 for the four is that worth the cost and effort?
Thanks for any direction or help you can give stay safe all of you 👍

Probably no real advantage in using braided hoses for normal road use?
Some of the cheaper braided hoses, have been known to fail instantly without warning, where as the standard rubber ones will most likely start bulging before they fail, so may be more likely to be picked up on mot, before failing completely ?
