Default tempory engine swap, is it possable?

Hi
i am goign to see an N reg 940 2.3T SE suspected head gasket job, thou by the sounds of things its been ragged to death.

my question, is it possable to get my 1992 2.0 N/A engine in there and running? i have the ecu and everythingelse for said engine, can i just swap the ecu over and run it like that till something can be done with the turbo engine? this car woul dbe idea to get me about, as some of you know the limo is off the road for the time being.
any other idea? cheers people

dunno 'bout engine swap, but head gasket isn't a big or slow job....

Jim, its a very straightforward job on a redblock - made easier by the good access. I did mine in a day, including a full service, water pump change, etc. I think it cost around £150 for parts - gaskets, pump, belts, tensioner, coolant, oil, filters etc.

BTW if you find the engine is buggered, I have a 1996 90k mile 2.3LPT engine in pretty good nick - just needs a turbo and a bit of TLC as has been stood in my garage for a year or so.
