Okay folks, sorry for the delay. Been in touch with admins and I've now listed the Group Buy. I've also asked for the thread to be a sticky so it stays at the top of the XC90 General Sub Forum.

Seemed to be the best place for it even though it's relevant to other P2 models.

Just asked Volvo tech if they could use the extender to display text on the dashboard message screen when the DPF regeneration is in operation.

I thought it would be a "good to know" information message.

They responded very quickly (impressed)
"Not currently, but we're working on those kinds of functions"

So if a few more asked the question! well you never know !

That is a great idea. Let's hope they can do it.

Its been a while since they released any significant f/w updates, so I am hoping for a decent release soon.

Ive requested to have the DRLs enabled with my dipped beam headlights for example....

They are usually very good with customer support.

Ive managed to get the software working on my £70 HP Stream tablet today.

That makes it a very handy way to connect to the car

I doubt they would do this as its a legal requirement the DRLs are extinguished when dipped headlights are on. This is because DRLs have to be bright enough to be clearly seen on a sunny day, they are likely to dazzle other drivers at night. Some new cars do leave the DRLs on when the dipped headlights are operating but this is at a much reduced brightness (ie equivalent to a side light).

I see you can get the fogs to come on when high beam lights are on.

For some models, yes.

Not the XC90 though.
