Default V40 headlights issue.

Hello
I'm new to this forum.

My wife has a 2016 V40xc model, had the car from new & only done 26,000 miles.
I've just noticed that the headlights lower when braking & then raise again when not braking, is this normal? We've never noticed this issue before, that said we don't do lots of night time driving so not sure if this is normal or a fault?

I've taken the car for its MOT today, could the MOT examiner have done anything to cause this to happen?

Thanks for any help.
Andy

I had a similar issue. Mechanics previously working on the car has bent one of the ride height sensors backwards into the wheel well. This had caused the droplink to bind on itself, and when I had passengers in the back the lights would lower and raise randomly whilst driving.

After lots of head scratching and messing about, I realised the bracket was very soft and I was able hold the assembly and bend it back by hand.
