Ditto, installed 2.14.3 today, with a successful install i.e., the car didn’t brick itself!
  • AAOS: for the Gen Z crowd – Apps, apps and more apps “It’s a social media platform”!
  • Sensus: for the reliable car generation crowd – does what it says on the tin “It’s a Car”!

Still have no idea why you would want to remote start the ICE vs using Pre-conditioning that uses the HV Aux Heater that also warms the ICE up (which then isn't so noisy when first started as its not stone cold).

Call it whatever you’d like, but since I bought the car back in 2022, the AAOS has improved almost nothing and still fails to deliver the features of the legacy Sensus system. Sorry if I have disappointed you but a platform coming to an age of 8-10 years is not really an insurance of long and meaningful software support. They might continue fixing the bugs but I doubt there will be any significant improvement. I wish I was wrong. Really.

The aux heater (fuel-driven heater) is not standard but an optional ~1000 pounds extra, and as far as I know it’s not heating the coolant (engine) just the passenger compartment.

It heats the engine too. The coolant is heated and pumped around the engine and cabin heater matrix by the (electric) coolant circulation pump, the same as if the engine was running.

there is no fuel-driven anymore at least in UK, it has been replaced by electric. It is called the High Voltage Coolant Heater, this name might suggest that it heats the..... have you guessed it yet......Coolant

This new heater has been a point of failure on the MY23 cars, I have had to have mine replaced and was a point to a number of the OS updates/optimizations as they try to stop it from crapping itself.

EDIT - Damn I type too slow beaten by Lexman

I wasn’t aware of that. I still have the fuel-driven, and somewhere I read that it doesn’t heat the engine, but can’t recall it where. I will test it with a laser thermometer sometime
