V90 R Design

Hi all, I have just purchased a 2020 V90 R-Design. I am trying to connect Android Auto. Does the car come with this installed or does it have to be purchased?

If it wasn't installed by the previous owner you'll have to purchase it. It comes together with Apple CarPlay. List price is £300 but sometimes it's on offer. Ask your dealer.

If your car has it, there will be 2 USB sockets in the armrest area and the Android Auto socket will have a white surround.

Mine has both USBs as described, but no Carplay/AA.

XC90 MY2020 onwards have 2 USB ports as standard but CarPlay and AA were/are a chargeable option. Presumably the V90 is the same.

Maybe worth trying a different cable, before looking at more expensive solutions !

I only have Apple cables that came with the phone.

Could you borrow another cable and try it ?

The first android cable that I tried didn't work (I'd previously used it for all and everything), but the 2nd one has worked flawlessly for me.

I'll certainly give it a try, but I don't think my car has Carplay, despite having the 'white' USB.

This is incorrect and not always the case.
