Dave that is so true, regarding finding a garage that will do the correct work and not rip you off,my first initiation of a rip off garage was when i was 18 years of age,i'm 57 now and had an opel manta with a oil leak on the head gasket, which i gave to a local garage to fix-only after collecting the car oil still leaked from the same area. When i took the car back and said -it's still leaking,i was told -well i have used the right head gasket. From that day i said to myself stuff the garages i will learn to work on my own cars from now on and that's how i've become a do it yourself car fixer,it's like any other job,say plumbing, joinery or sparks-it's difficult to find someone who will do a good job for a fair price, unless you get a recommended guy from someone you know.
