Order Update

I thought I would ask the forum before asking the dealership as there is a wealth of knowledge and experience on here......

My chosen Volvo Dealership emails me regular updates on the deliver of my car which includes the following:-

S/type + Earliest = Retail
Reg Month = Oct
Latest = Fixed
Approximate = 3rd Oct 19
Specification = V60 D4 R-Des Plus A
Colour = BBLUE
Interior = RG0R
Options = Tempas, RrCamera

Latest, which now shows "Fixed"........ up until this update sent on Friday 6th September it had previously always said 22nd August 2019.

So what exactly does Latest mean, if applying common sense i would imagine it means changes can be made to the order up to 22nd August, and fixed meaning no further changes allowed but that is just me guessing.

Hi,

Think you have answered your own question, but the status's at the factory are:

Order Accepted (where we can still amend the spec - and are normally given a date up until which we can change it)
Fixed Specification (where we can't change the spec)
COL (Car On Line)
FC (Factory Complete)
ARRI (Arrived Importer)
ARRD (Arrived Dealer)

Coincidentally those dates for your car are exactly the same for mine. The 22nd August for sealing the spec and 3 October for delivery of my V60. My delivery to the dealer date has come forward a week and I should be able to take delivery on Saturday 28 September or on the Monday 30 September.

Good luck when you get yours. We will have to share opinions. Mine is a T4 inscription plus. I am buying mine from Perth Volvo

Thanks for confirming this.

Based on your information i pressume the next change i am waiting for is COL,which i would he surprised at based on my expected delivery date.

Do you have recent experience of average timescales between each status?

Im not sure my delivery date will be any earlier although I would love it, if it did happen.

I am in Liverpool and having the car delivered to Chester which is nearby and i cant fault the dealer.
