Yes sir. Same applies for options that cannot be added by the dealer post-delivery. If you're unsure about it - TICK THAT BOX, or else you will for sure hate yourself the day the car gets delivered

I have a B5. It’s still new and driving at low revs to break it in smoothly.
The only thing i noticed so far in comparison with the D5 - during the 5 day test drive i got - is the smoothest start after stop in traffic..

Thanks please keep us up todate on the progress of the car. What car did you have before the B5.

I have a B5 due to arrive in the next few weeks.

I had a 911 LOL...seriously.

Initially, i wanted to trade in my G.Cherokee for the XC90 and keep the 911, but decided to keep the G.Cherokee along with the XC90..and let the 911 go..

I was in doubt whether to go for T8 vs B5, and based on my calculations the only benefit of the T8 vs B5 would be :

1- Quiet ride when hybrid/electric
2- Faster Car
3. No annual road tax (285€ for Β5)
4. Access to the town centre everyday instead of every other day.

BUT, T8 was 15k more expensive without any other incentives except 3 & 4.
So with discount applied it would be (for the same specced car) 12k more.
Worst fear was that with 75-100km daily round trip to work T8 would be less cost efficient from B5 (charging only overnight).

I had a XC90 D5 for 2 weekends, as a test drive and covered approx. 600km each weekend.
I got better fuel economy than my cousins XC60 T8 driving side by side on a 500km trip (XC60 was uncharged working only hybrid with regenerative braking).
Funny thing is that i noticed the B5 and D5 have greater economy during heavy traffic than they do, in normal city driving or open road (not highway) and certainly better than the XC60 t8 uncharged...that showed around 2lt-2.5lt/100km more in close and small open roads in the country..

It’s strange that when you see a car badged B5 you’ll have no idea if it’s petrol or diesel, except by the sound if it’s running.

And annoyingly all the options I picked are reduced in price. Though they don't show an AWD T5 option yet.

I saw a B5 in Woodstock the other day on 20" wheels. Looked lovely!

Slightly annoyed to see there's a B5 petrol now as there were only diesel B* models when I ordered in May. Oh well!

Reduced price list for optional equipment is probably due to the tax exceptions
of mild hybrids, which applies to factory equipment as well..
