clock gains time - DIM issue?
Just wondering if this is a sign of a possible impending DIM failure - my car is in the age range of probable failure at some point.
The time clock slowly gains at about 1 minute per week, it shows no other symptoms. Just wondering really and I'm not spending on a possible repair until it shows other symptoms. |

Considering I had mirror image text when my DIM was failing as seen in this thread here, I'd say that any quirky behaviour by the DIM is entirely possible.

DIM Time Clock
The scrap yard replacement DIM - with chrome rings - that I bought last month, has auto time reset on the clock.
I still have the original DIM, that I decided not to send back to Volvo Diagnostic, as it was with Lukas twice already. He very kindly did a fix on the bottom left display on the newer DIM - FOC I can highly recommend Lukas for fixing deeee fective DIMs Jude

Lukaz did the one out of my last car, great service and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. I’m not going to send this one off for repair though until it shows more symptoms as I can cope with the clock being a little out. Was just wondering if there was a bill heading my way in the nearish future.

That's how mine started, then the display followed. Don't forget to disconnect the battery (and perhaps to have the key in POS II upon reconnecting it)
