Default Is it time to get rid?

New vacuum pump, new engine mounts , new tcv , new boost solenoid, new pipes apart from the one that goes from the solenoid to the actuator.

Car still drives like N/A.

Smoke coming from dipstick , oil getting past the filler cap.

Popping noise is still present.

Should i bin it??

Run some smoke, and vacuum tests so you can find were the leak is,
also test the vnt actuator , don't just buy new parts on the off chance that it will fix the car ,

Just like to say thank you dave ,as you always respond even if I'm not much help👍👍👍

I had a smoke test done a couple of months ago and it passed,to my surprise.
Ive got it booked in to the dye test on monday , the worry is he said new turbo even though it's a recon and 4 months on the car.

I said I'm not getting a new turbo until the popping noise has gone.

I've basically put a gauge on the nipple of the vac pump and got 26hg , not on this pump mind , it's brand new ,not tried this one yet.

Before this pump if you took off the mount pipe off it was quiet now you can hear it.

Maybe where I'm taking it have a mittyvac ,not sure , i just have a cheap one.

Is the smoke from the dipstick and oil from the filler cap a cause for concern?

get a new oil filler cap, smoke coming out of the dipstick , is this with the dipstick removed ? if it is,
the smoke should go when you rev the engine, as the oil breather goes in to the turbo inlet pipe,
if you want to come down one dry weekend let me know, I have a smoke tester, a turbo boost pressure tester, mityvac pump, Volvo vida,
but the weather has to be dry, I only need feeding,
Dave,
