  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

INFORMATION THAT MAY BE OF HELP TO ANY ONE WHO HAS A NEW CAR COVERED

BY MANUFACTURES WARRENTY, AND LIKE ME FEEL THAT VOLVO ARE NOT

Why would you go to the SMMT with a complaint against a trader (in this case VCUK)? They're an association which is there to protect and defend motor traders. If you as a consumer feel cheated, you should either approach your local trading standards office or citizens advice bureau. I was given similar advice when I had been unfairly treated and when I went to the SMMT with my complaint, they simply turned around and said that the dealer had every right to what they had! I ended up having to go to trading standards and engaging a solicitor afterwhich the problem was swiftly rectified.
