V60 roof solutions
i've got a 62 plate v60 R-design.
I need some advice on the best roof bars and roof boxes - want something that looks good / aerodynamic but doesn't break the bank Any suggestions? R |

You can't go far wrong with Thule for bars and boxes. We transport Kayaks on the roof of the s60. We also also tow a kayak trailer with bikes on the roof of another car thats hard to access the roof. We use this easy lift system form Kari Tek in Ayrshire, although not sure if the same thing would work with a roofbox??
Have had a roofbox on a car before and got that from Halfords (their own brand), although I found it a bit tricky to load and unload - even on a normal size car. So would be worth asking the guys above for suggestions. Regards |

Roof bars etc
Thule as stated.
Go to roofracks.co.uk and browse there. Used them a few times now. PS, select normal postage, not next day. They normally send next day by default. Just got some stuff from them for my V60

Roofbars
I bought the latest "Volvo" branded Thule Wingbars for my V60, exactly the same but cheaper, see caraccessoriesplus.co.uk for discounted prices.

Also give Volvo a go, you don't have to pay them to fit them. I bought roof bars from my local main dealer which were £40 less than Thule bars at the out of town big car parts shed.
I also got my Volvo roofbox for less than a same size Halfords branded one. Check your dealer, if you don't like what they quote ring around or walk. It's another option. Roof bars have doubled in price in the last 6/7 years. 2008 I bought genuine Volvo roof bars for my P2 S60 for half what I paid for the current S60. Still got them if anyone's interested together with some rear window blinds including genuine for clips.
