Yours Dave
its possible that some one could scan and 3d print your broken plastic part if this is possible it would be worth getting a few done to help others remake the cables. or have you tried the usa market for volvo parts i know a usa part would be lhd but it might work with some different routeing of the cable . what is the difference in length of LHD and RHD cables ?

Hi DrJohnson,

Can you tell us the indy shop that you used? (or send me a PM if you don't want to put it on the forum).

It would save me a lot of ringing around and time.

Thanks
Steve

Probably a bit late now but I've just found out my notification emails were turned off

The company that did the cable swap for me was a small old style motor bike shop, they're used to making up new clutch cables etc for old bikes so was quite happy to do it for me.

It's still working fine 17 months later.

get a pear ended brake cable for a tandem bike (up to 3.5m long) and get a mechanical ball end with a grub screw for the throttle body end. i did mine and it cost me 4 pounds to fix.

the pear end is compatible with the pedal cable receiver.
