Sorry, I can't help you as I don't even know what a Zen Stone is
Can I suggest that a USB stick is an easy option? You could leave it in the car permanently.

I also can tell no difference in quality from music on the stick and an actual CD. Have to say I copy everything onto the USB stick at the highest quality I can. Regards EDIT: Just googled Zen Stone and it is an mp3 player. Last edited by volvorocks; Jun 20th, 2014 at 21:22. |

From the Creative website:
USB car stereo connection: These connections will only read your player through "removable drive". In this case, the USB port would apply only for Mass Storage Class (MSC) players such as a ZEN X-Fi3, ZEN X-Fi2, ZEN Style M300/M100, ZEN X-Fi Style, ZEN Style. Although it is strange that an older XC90 would see the drive, have you tried resetting the device (I would assume that as it is quite an old device that it would be running the latest firmware?) You could also look to see if there is an option to enable it as a mass storage device (through the pc utility software). Failing all this I agree with the others, you can buy USB sticks for next to nothing now and it will give all the functionality you need.

every few starts, mine doesn't recognise the USA stick and I have to remove it, wait a few seconds and plug it back in....it does exactly the same with iPod too if I choose to use that

I do find though that if you reboot the iPod occasionally the "feature" occurs less frequently!!
