Volvo s40 1.6 petrol 2002 - Issue with electrics
Hello everyone,
I have an issue with the electrical system. I have recently noticed that one of the headlights are not working. I have got a new bulb but it did not solve the problem. Then I measured the voltage at the bulb connector and it was 11.92V but once the bulb is inserted to the connector the voltage drops to zero. Can anyone help on this issue? Thanks. |

You've accidentally posted in the sales section rather than the general area where you would get more answers.
Your symptoms indicate you are suffering from a relay failure within the CEM (Central Electronic Module) which is located up behind the fuse box. If you search the forum you'll find their is plenty of talk about it and you can replace the relays within the module. Gatos is your man for a swap out with a repaired module. If one really has gone the other will no doubt fail straight after you've put it all back together. |
