2.0 manual to convert 1.7 Auto to manual??
Just a quick question...
Would it be possible to use the gearbox etc etc from a 2.0 480 to convert a 1.7 480 turbo to a manual transmition from an auto? Thanks for your thoughts

not really no , as the 440 turbo gearbox is strengthened with taper roller bearings instead of ball races and the final drive ratio is likely to be wrong too .

Bearings
Thanks... but is the pedal box flywheel etc etc the same, and would the 2.0l gear box be a total waste of time to put in or just not last the 200k miles or whatever distance volvo designs these items for?
Thanks again
