Default Who designed these?

I am referring to the front indicator lamp holders on my 51 V70. You know the holder that consists of two parts one black to which goes the power lead and the grey bit that actually holds the lamp. First question why does it have to be in two pieces? That is my problem with them, I had exactly the same hassle with my previous V70 ie the pieces do not stay together.
On turning the black piece anticlockwise to free it up the grey piece plus lamp is left hanging precariously on the edge of the opening just ready to drop inside the glass. I had this happen on my previous one and the only remedy to retrieve the holder is removal of the headlamp and all that involves. In my opinion it is a dire design. I have tried just now three times to refit my offside one and each time I can just pull the wiring holder, the black piece away from the grey piece. I have been lucky so far and managed to retrieve the grey piece with lamp but I am not going to push my luck anymore, me thinks a trip to the dealer is required. Oh and by the way if anybody knows the part number for this that would be very helpful.

It was Sven. TBH, I'm not sure if your model is the same as mine, but my '01 V70 T5 indicators occasionally get corroded just enough to stop working and you need hands like ET to get to them. And the only consolation is it could be worse. Honda's VFR400 motorbike's instructions for changing the front sparkplugs began with removing the taillight...

I'm actually now quite good at getting at them, had many attempts in the past and present.
Somedoby with a warped mind must design things like this!
