Default Apparent loss of boost when warm

Good evening all...
I wonder if anyone could shed any light on a problem with my euro3 D5 V70?
When the car is first started on a morning, the turbo can be heard spooling up and the car takes off as it should. However, within 5 minutes of driving, the turbo noise appears less apparent and it doesn't seem anything like as responsive. Top end power still seems reasonable but the instantaneous acceleration that is there when cold seems lacking. If parked up for a hour or so, it seems better until 5 minutes or so of driving when it's back to square one.
There are no fault codes when connected to my ppc reader other than a couple relating to 'steering angle sensor'.
I also recently diagnosed a leaking engine mount as power was well down and was restored to a degree by blanking off the vacumn pipe to the air box valve. I have temporarily blocked off this pipe until a new engine mount can be fitted.
Thanks in anticipation,
Neil
